High school football remains in full swing, as teams across the state played their first October games of the season on Friday, October 6th. In the Lehigh Valley, four teams ranked in the Pennsylvania top 25 by MaxPreps saw action. This includes 7th ranked Parkland, 10th ranked Nazareth Area, 22nd ranked Allentown Central Catholic, and 24th ranked Southern Lehigh.
All four teams continued their winning ways, with Parkland’s 42-0 victory over William Allen and Southern Lehigh’s 47-0 victory over Saucon Valley moving both teams to 7-0 on their seasons. Nazareth Area moved to 6-1 and Allentown Central Catholic to 5-2 after a 41-17 win over Whitehall and 23-20 win over Liberty, respectively. All four teams are back in action this upcoming weekend with all but Allentown Central Catholic kicking off on Friday, October 13th. Allentown Central Catholic plays a day later on Saturday, October 14th under the lights.
