Gas prices throughout the United States have fallen in recent weeks, despite slight increases in barrel prices amid the ongoing war in Israel. Similarly, cooling demand has contributed to the decrease in prices, and this decline will likely continue in the coming weeks. As of Oct. 20, the average price of gas per gallon in the United States is $3.55, a 32 cent decrease from a month ago and 28 cent decrease from one year ago.

Here in Pennsylvania the price of gas per gallon has fallen to $3.73, a five cent per gallon decrease compared to one week ago, and a 19 cent per gallon decrease from one month ago.

In the Lehigh Valley, prices are similarly on the decline. They have fallen three cents a gallon from where they were a week ago, and 33 cents a gallon from where they were a month ago and are now $3.53 a gallon.
