Over the past week, due to rising demand for gas and increased oil costs, gas prices across the country have taken a slight rise. On March 31, the average price per gallon of gas in the US was $3.501 just a few cents higher than prices a week ago. Despite this rise, the average price per gallon today is still over 70 cents per gallon cheaper than prices a year ago.
Here in Pennsylvania, the average price per gallon of gas is $3.578 on par with the national average. Prices across the state are about 10 cents per gallon less expensive than last week and 45 cents per gallon less expensive than last year.
