On Wednesday, March 23, Lehigh County Executive Phillips Armstrong formally presented the Office of the Community Liaison to the public.
Under the direction of Yorman De La Rosa, the Office of the Community Liaison will focus on diversity representation throughout the County of Lehigh and will serve as a liaison for Lehigh County residents in collaboration with their local government. The position will collaborate between the government of Lehigh County, various community groups, and municipal governments.
Additionally, the community liaison will advise the county executive, board of commissioners, and other elected and appointed officials on sensitive matters related to disadvantaged and traditionally underrepresented communities.
Through this role, Lehigh County will facilitate effective communications and foster understanding between various constituencies and government.

The creation of the community liaison position was approved by the Board of Commissioners on November 23, 2021. The office was fully implemented on Monday, March 21, 2022. Office hours to meet with the Office of the Community Liaison will soon be available on the Lehigh County website here.
